Can someone tell me what reading a healthy steamer should give on a compressoin test? +/- how many pounds each cylinder?

Without my book in front of me, I'd say you should be in the 150 -180 psi range.. and all three within 10-15% of each other.  My '98 is sitting around 170psi for all three.

I have the 1998 factory manual and could not find pressure specs anywhere.  It lists the comp ratio for the Tiger at 10.4 to 1.  Somewhere on the web I'll bet one could find a conversion table for comp ratio to pressure.    From my experience, BR's number of 170 psi sounds reasonable for 10.4 to 1 compression.    What about calling a Triumph servicing dealer?
