email issues

I'm making a couple of changes, to see if I can work around some email issues.  So you may or may not (most likely may not if you are mudhen) recieve notifications.  This will also likely affect new user registrations.  Hopefully it wont take long.

Ok, a new email system is in place.  Now the system relays through gmail, rather than sending the mail itself.  This may or may not be an improvement.  We'll see.  GMail is more likely to properly for the headers, and, malformed headers are often used to identify spam.

Report back to me if there are any problems.

little niggly things, and more changes.  Still hoping these changes fix a few things.  Especially the "spam trap" probem.
