This past 2 weeks I noticed my '06 leaning a bit more on the sidestand.
I distinctly remember when it was new.... 'I don't think this thing leans
enough, it's gonn fall over!'

Yesterday I checked for stress and tightened the bolt... but everything
looked fine.

I have read of sidestand failure on '05/'06....

I'll be watching.

If the old forum is online for searches, you'll find this was a very common problem on the entire family of Tigers.  Had this happen to me, and there were tons of messages about this a while back.

Seems the weight and heft on the stand breaks the crappy weld around the top edge of the stand.  Tends to start on the back of the weld.

If you have a center stand, prop it up and give the side stand a yank away from the bolt.  You might see it pull away completely held on only by the spring!!     Be careful, as the plug will JUST barely hold up the bike if the weld is 100% broken.
