Hi, just bought a late "Girly" 955i.  Very happy with it except it pops quite a bit when blipping the throttle as I go down the box approaching junctions etc.  Is ths normal?  No other Fi bike I've had did this....

Thanks etc..

I have the off-road tune, and it still does it a bit.

Thanks for the help guys and sorry for the delay in coming back myself,  job takes me o'seas a lot.

I read elsewhere that it's a rich mixture problem so I'm not worried about it.  In fact it's growing on me....

Just have to sort the rattly heat shield on the silencer now,  loose rivets need drilling out and re- doing.

The popping is my friend, I am convinced of it. It means I made it to the garage after a 1000 mile odyssey. One of the last things I hear as I am pulling down the long stretch to home.  :D

No, it's a lean mixture problem, or non-problem depending on your druthers. They programmed the computer to run lean at no throttle and at constant throttle to satisfy a low-emissions requirement.
2004 Tiger. Black is beautiful. If I don\'t ride a little every day I get a little crazy.

Stock can or not, you need to download the "off road" can tune. There is no reason whatsoever to keep that stock tune. It sucks.

Is this something that we can do ourselves with a laptop (like a Power Commander) or does it have to be the Triumph dealer?

HockleyBoy

You could probably fit a power commander but it would be far cheaper to go down to your local dealer and get them to load you up a new tune such as the one for the off road can.
