Quote from: "blacktiger"Those little fittings break every time you take the fairing off. I've given up and just pushed the tube through the hole in the tank. If it pisses coolant it'll just piss everywhere but who cares?

Is there anyway if supporting it so it doesn't break?  What is hitting it causing it to break?  Sounds like a pretty stupid design....

It's so close to the fairing that I think if you have to struggle with the fairing to get it to sit right then you've probably snapped another one. Everything's packed in under the fairing too tightly.

I found it broken while taking it off.  I certainly didn't struggle there...  The bike is too new to think that anyone ever took the fairing off.

anyone know what size this replacement part is and where i can get it?

Quote from: "2004Tiger"Hey, your tank isn't cracked. That's an angle fitting that's broken. Mine was the same, and the two rubber hoses connected to my overflow reservoir were reversed. I replaced both plastic angle fittings for less than two dollars US each. (Watch out, some dealers [Foothill BMW/Triumph in Lakewood, Colorado] want about $5 for them.) When refitting the tubes, be certain that the drain hole is connected to the tube that drains down to your swing arm pivot; and the fill/suction hole is connected to your radiator filler neck. Blow through the tubes to find out.

If your tubes were reversed, and many are, you will have been losing coolant and now you must remove your gas tank and refill the system. Be sure to crack the air relief screw on the back side of the thermostat. Simply adding coolant to the overflow usually won't get any into the radiator, as pointed out in your owner's manual. If your tubes were not reversed, and the broken fitting is for fill/suction, you were losing coolant each time your engine got hot. Again, remove the gas tank and refill the system.

Plenty of threads on this topic, and the resultant overheating, on this forum. Do a search.

Yes, I do.  I just don't have time right now to look it up for you.  If I can later I'll post it but if you go to Bike Bandit and look up OEM parts for the bike it's pretty obvious.  Sorry, got to go...

Thank you very much. That's just what I needed. I just discovered last night that mine is broken.

I bought a couple or three just in case until I figure out how to keep it from happening.

Quote from: "Stretch"I do lots of business with Bike Bandit.  No complaints.

It takes a while for some Triumph parts to come in from across The Pond (if Triumph USA is out of stock), but a small dealer would have the same problem.

I was just re-reading this and realized you thought I meant Bike Bandit when I said I'd see if they were worth continuing business with.  I meant the dealer I purchased the bike from.  They never responded and thus have lost my business.  I'm fussy like that.  Too bad since they seemed better than my local dealer.  Just means I'll do more myself.  That and more business for Bike Bandit.  They've been great.  No complaints.
