CHICAGO and Ohio trip

I am planning a vacation which allows a few days  in Chicago, but I will be driving down to Dayton to the USAF Museum and a short (about a week) tour of Ohio to take in Columbus and some roller coasters, any Ohio must sees that I have to take in or places highly recommended would be welcome. Sadly the Tiger is staying at home for this trip and 4 wheels will be rented before we rent 2 to do Route 66.  I have done  a few bits of 66  (including Cadillac Ranch ) during my 2007 tour on my Tiger but want to do the complete trip this year.
