Hi Yall,
I'm doing the valves, fork seals, and basically the 36k tune up on GG (955i Tiger 01').  I'm having a hard time petting parts from the shops around me.  So I thought I'd put it out to all of you to see where I can get parts online (OEM, aftermarket or other such).  I'm looking for best price and reliability. If yall know a good site would you include a web address when you reply.  Is there a shim share with the Tiger forum groups?  Will shims from a Kawasaki dealer work for the Girly? :?:
Lets see I need: shims, valve gasket, air filter, plugs, fork seals, 12.5w fork oil, rubber boot that covers the rear brake light switch, fuel quick disconnect O rings, synthetic oil and filter(what type is best for clean shifting?), maybe a cam cap bolt.   Are there any other preventative maintenance procedures or parts that I should be considering for this tune up?  IE: fuel filter, rear shock stuff, etc?  Thanks for your reply in advance.     :wave

Your best bet is probably Bike Bandit. I don't think the brits and Mama Kaw shared parts but I thought I read somewhere that Yammy shims work. Not to shove you somewhere... but spend some time Here. It will answer quite a few of your questions.

Make life easy...
call the folks at Baxter cycle in Iowa....712.781.2351...
tell them what you need... good chance they have it and can get it to you faster than anyone.

Take the previous advice... hang around this site and learn a thing or two.
You'll find cross reference products and 'how-to' info.

Combine that with a little guts and you'll be just fine......

make sure the brakes work before you go too fast on atest ride!

I buy my parts here.   http://www.jacklilley.com   Email them or phone the parts department.  They get parts delivery FROM THE FACTORY WAREHOUSE next day and mail to you same day.  Normally at your door in under a week.  Prices are very good too.  I don't know how long it takes to send to the Antipodes but to North America the post is fast and efficient.

Hey Yall I found a place that I was able to get everything I wanted and the shipping was a flat rate of $9.95.  Dean, in parts, was knowledgeable and a great communicator, especially if you appreciate the New Jersey straight forward approach.  :D   Here's the link

Try them out if you need parts, accessories and such.  Sometimes its worth shopping on line if sales tax is high in your state and shipping is low.  Just try not to combine the two, but the flat rate is worth it if you need fluids and bigger parts or accessories. There are other places online too that others pointed my to.  Thanks and still post on here if you know of any other sites that are kick ass for parts.
