Question about breather line mod?

I removed the line that comes from the crankcase breather and routes up to the air box, then fabricated a filter for the end of the hose and capped off the air box tap.

Is that all there is to it?  I assume there is only one breather line on my 99 885i.  The photos in the "how to" thread were of a Husaberg so somewhat different.

Thanks to the poster though, a trashed engine from a tip over would really suck!

On my 2k 885I I did the following
Got a fat generic PVC valve from Auto Zone and stuck it on the top of the hose.
Used a tire air valve cap to plug the hole in the air box.
Did a 1k mile weekend and it misted a little not enough to drip any where just some oil spots on the side pannel.
Normal commuting and day rides are mist free.

That's it Mac. I don't know what you fabbed you filter out of, just make sure it robust enough to take a little pressure/suction, and will not fall apart in oil or water. I happened to have a small K/N around from another bike project so used it.

Thanks for the replies.  I used a plumbing fitting that fit nicely into the hose with some stout surgical packing that I got from a friend as a filter media that I secured around the outside.  So far so good.

Now if it would just quit raining for a few days!

I also did the Uly pegs.  Nice improvement.  I found them online for ~$16 each.
