Anyone used these? I needed a new pair of rubber but X-Mas wiped me out. Figured they were cheap and better than bald Metzlers. Got a set on ebay for $150   http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAXXIS-D ... 2612wt_992 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAXXIS-DUAL-SPORT-RADIAL-MOTORCYCLE-TIRES-NEW-PAIR_W0QQitemZ370303588975QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotorcycles_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5637d05a6f#ht_2612wt_992) got more left if anyone needs cheap rubber
If it has 2 or 3 wheels I\'ll ride it, race it or wreck it... possibly all three

The Shinko's are a cheaper and proven tire...  Many have used them and swear by them.

The ones I had on my steamer I usedon a cross country road trip a couple of years ago .

The front wore pretty decent as one would expect due to the light feel of a tiger front end , got almost 15 k out of it . The rear not so good . I noticed at least half the tread worn off in about 3000 miles and they were completely toasted bald by the time I got back home (7500 miles). Granted I was carrying two loaded saddlebags .
This is the Maxxis at 7500 miles

You should check the dates on the tires as the rear maxxis presa detour tire was discontinued by Maxxis due to abnormaly fast wear rates.

maybe maxxis has gotten their act together and released a new version of this tire.......................

Thanx for the ADV link. I'll post my findings as soon as I know. My front was letting a little too loose in the snow on the way home.
