I am new here but not new to Triumph. I have had two other Triumphs, a 2000 Sprint ST and a 2000 Trophy. Both were excellent bikes. I recently purchased a 05 Lucifer Orange Tiger from the Reno NV dealer. I also own a BMW K1200LT. I really like this new Tiger. I can't compare it to previous models because I have never ridden one prior to this one. But, I can tell you that this bike is a hoot to ride and probably will become my favorite all time bike. I live in the middle of northern California with the coastal mountains to the west of me and the Nevada desert to the east of me. It is a short ride to either geographical locations. To the west the roads are twistie mountain roads and to the east they tend to be straight in wide open country. There are dirt or forest service roads in all directions and that is what inspired me to try out the Tiger. I rode all day last Sunday, half of which was  on dirt roads. I have a lot to learn about the dirt. I especially want to explore the Nevada  desert lands which are mostly available by dirt roads.

Mike...your location sounds incredible. You lucky man. Good luck with the Tiger, and welcome.

Mike, how about swapping your incredible sounding location for mine; narrow, slippery, diesel and draincover infested roads filled with millions of cars, billions of traffic lights and speed camera's. Yeah, London is great Tigger territory.... :?

Hey guys, through your bikes on the boat and come over for some fantastic rides. Actually, I was looking at some pictures posted by some riders in your neck of the woods and the country side looked pretty good. I think they were riding across Wales. It made me want to come over to ride.

Some Sprint ST friends of mine from Utah came and spent a week with me so I could show them around Northern California.

This picture was taken from Cal State Hwy 299E, east of the town of McArthur. It is near the top of Big Valley Mountain, overlooking Fall River Mills Valley. Off in the far distance is Mt. Shasta.

Mt Shasta is a glorious view from this location. We were on a small county road that connects Hwy 3 to I-5, just west of the town of Weed.
