FUEL LIGHT ON BUT GUAGE READING HALF FULL

HELLO ALL IM TRYING TO FIX MY FRIENDS TIGER 955I , he has had a new tank and replaced the old parts all seem to be in order ,the bike runs but , the fuel guage is showing half full which the tank is and the fuel empty light is on .!! ? put a resistance test on the tank sender and got 39 ohms, which looks about right if 90 ohms is empty and 13 ohms is full , realy confuzzed checked all relays and fuses and they are in order can any one help all the best DB
