anyone know where to buy a TuneECU cable in the states?

I got mine on ebay, so heres a link to one on US Ebay

well it is coming from hong kong but looks to be cheap enough including shipping. So this is definitely the right cable???

Maybe you could search for a more local one to you.
Dont forget to get the drivers from the Tune ECU site, dont use the CD that comes with the cable.

Chris, Oh - Ok, I think I get it. You're suggesting there's a trade off to tuning for performance vs long distance comfort. (vibration primarily) I havent noticed any vibration until about 85mph - then it just gets a bit buzzy. There arent too many places in Wa where sustained speeds over 75 wont get you a ticket. In Texas you can drive 80 in places on the interstate - but who wants to ride the interstate? Thanks for the clarification. j

This is were the internet has it's limitations,we holiday on a bike and have done for the last 30 years and me before that,while I have a bike for all occasions,I've built my Tiger to do everything,it'll sit out on the motorway at 120 two up and fully kitted,it'll scratch a mountain pass two up and fully kitted with it's 17" front wheel and Beringer brakes and Ohlins

If we go on holiday for two weeks,I don't spend two weeks travelling to a destination,the quicker I'm there,the more time we have when we have arrived,so if I have to spend a day or two on the motorway it's a small price to pay,but that doesn't mean having to suffer with a poorly set up bike.

As I said were the net falls down is talking with others about bikes only to find wifey doesn't share the passion and they go on some organised non biking holiday,I've no problem with that,but that guys idea of how good his bike is will be different to mine,we've done a 16 hour trip of which 14 were riding the bike,were very often asked what state were we in after,sat and watched a film before we went to bed  :D

And I have to say If I never went over 80mph all I would ride is my XT660 supermoto,but I have to say you'd have a mighty shock travelling in Germany and hence why we bought our K1200,on the unlimited sections it's an absolute free for all were 120 will hardly get you into the outside lane.

The very first time we ever went,in the middle lane doing what?? 100,look in the rear mirrors nothing coming put winker on,have another look to check all is clear it is and pull out,by which time were doing 120+,have a 3rd look in the mirrors to find it full of Porche headlights blazing akimbo!!!,pull over, within what? 15 seconds he'd vanished,at a guess i'd say 180+,welcome to Germany!! :D

The file on Tune ECU is dated Nov 10.  That's the new one.

Been back to TuneECU but I carn't find any dates, were are they please? There is 2 new tunes since I got mine but there for the Brazil bike.

Do the new updated files have the same numbers as the original ones then ?

Meaning that all files/versions are new...

And for the newbie .. if they all are new revisions then what is the difference? I'm looking in the 885 folder FROM vin 089737. I'm seeing 3 maps all with November 2010 dates on them. I'm guessing one is stock bike, one is aftermarket exhaust, and one is ?????? Maybe?  :?

Oh good grief....

Down load them, open them and read the info.  They should all labelled.  If they're not give me a shout and I'll use Tunedit to open them.

(Here's a clue though, two of them are for Brazil only)

Regarding the numbers when updating, they stay the same. Triumph overwrite the previous tune hence Chris Canning's comment that at the dealer, you can't go back, only forward.

And I haven't had time to analyse the old vs the new so don't yet know what they've done.  I'll get round to it eventually.

Just to update, I have this morning gone back to the Modified AF Tune I was using before, dunno what happened but the new tune seemed fine for a couple of days then yesterday I started getting the old on/off throttle again??

Anyway old tune back in and seems fine again, strange??
