Balancing throttle bodies. Best Way?

So I went to the local (about an hour away) dealer and asked what he would charge to balance my throttle bodies.  3 hrs needed at $75/hr

So If I have to spend this why not do it myself and get the right gear to do so?

So, what gear do I need?  Will a tune-boy do it?  And, is it difficult?  Or, should I say, easy to F$^k up?

Cheers!

tune boy will not balance your throttle bodies you need a carb stick or mercury stickor best yet a MORGAN CARBTUNE

the actual setting of the throttle bodies takes about 10 minutes or less
getting all the bodywork out of the way is another story ...
didn't check the sticky thread did you ? all this info is already here

Dead easy with carbtune - did mine a couple of months ago. And has the bonus that you get more familiar with all those dusty bits under the tank.

Thanks Mustang.

Nope, was too lazy to check the sticky.  Actually was in a rush to get out the door for the Saturday morning market.

Looks like this is less than 2 hours for sure, especially if you have experience.  Guess I'll get the experience!

Once you've done it a couple of times, 45 mins max end to end.  It's good to get initimate with your Girly

I use a workmate folding workbench next to her on the right side to stand the tank on.  After snipping the zip tie that holds the tank wiring to the frame, you can hook up the fuel hose and electrics with no probs.  Just don't let the tank slip off the bench
