I have posted that I had a bit of an off the other day and messed up my right case. I have not been able to land a replacement at a decent price.

Has anyone tried to fit an aftermarket case to the OEM mount?
I have some ammocans that I used on another bike that could stand in while I search for some system cases.

My though is to take a piece of angle and welding some tubing pieces to it to accept the pins in the mount, then welding a tang so the lock would engage as it should. Then mount this on the case and fab some other fittings where it meets the rest on the foot rest and then a spreader across the rear.

Haven't seen anyone that has tried this, have any of you seen this?

I think it might wok as a temporary thing. What do you think?
